The BDB Luxury Rooms Margutta by the Spanish Steps (Via Margutta, 38), is the diamond point of BDB chain. Situated in a 17th century building the BDB Margutta is composed by nine luxurious
rooms on its three floors (no elevator).
In this street have lived in the recent past some of the most important and prestigious
Italian artists, such as Federico Fellini, Anna Magnani , Giorgio De Chirico,
and some of the greatest painters and sculptors from all over the world, because
this street has always been and will be “the street of the artists”, an inexhaustible
source of inspiration for their works.
It was also the ideal setting for some unforgettable Italian movies ("The Models
of Via Margutta" by Giuseppe Maria Scotese in 1946, "Roman Holiday" by William
Wyler in 1953, "An American in Rome" by Steno in 1954, "Via Margutta" by Mario
Camerini in 1960).
Of course, the maximum attention has been given to the art, in fact the BDB Margutta
is also an art gallery.
